LOTR fans, if you haven’t heard about the new Amazon Prime Lord of the Rings tv series that is slated to start filming in August, you’re in for a treat! The producers hope to film from August until November.

Arrangements are Already in Place for the Lord of the Ring TV Series
A source said to the Daily Record, “A lot of arrangements are already in place. All that remains now is for it to be up and running in time, so the clock is ticking.”
The source continued, “It’s anticipated production will return for another three months from next March (2020). There could be more after that. It’s a massive contract and a gigantic boost for the studio and for Scotland.”
Fans Take Guesses About the Lord of the Rings TV Series
Since not much is known about what will happen in the Lord of the Ring tv series, fans have been taking guesses themselves about what the storyline and plot might be like.
Amazon Prime seems to have been hinting about what the series might be like on their official Twitter, saying, “One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne. In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows like.”

This might be hinting that the series timeline might take place before the movies timeline did. The quote comes from the inscription on the Dark Lord Sauron’s One Ring, which reads:
“Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for the mortal men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne;
In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.”
One fan, after seeing this, said, “So best bet would be that the show will take place in the mid to late second age, when the rings of power are first forged and Sauron rises to power. The show might just end where the movies start off.”
Whatever the case, we certainly can’t wait to see the series when it begins! It should hit the screens by 2021.
